Products
The Products section lets you manage everything customers see and buy from your Dash to Cart storefront.
From here, you can add new products, update existing listings, control product visibility, manage product images and variants, monitor stock, and connect related products to improve discovery.
To access this section, select Products from the left-hand navigation menu.
Understanding the Products Page
The main Products page displays your existing product catalogue.
Each product card can show information such as:
- Product image
- Product name
- Number of variants
- Visibility status
- Featured status, where applicable
- Created date
- Last updated date

You can also use the Search products field to find a specific product.
At the top of the page, you can access:
- Media Library: Manage product media used across your store.
- Import: Access the product import function.
- Add Product: Create a new product manually.
You can control whether a product appears to customers without deleting it.
On the Products page:
- Locate the product.
- Click the visibility dropdown.
- Select either Visible or Hidden
Visible: The product can appear on your storefront and be accessed by customers.
Hidden: The product is hidden from customers without being permanently deleted.
This is useful when you want to temporarily remove a product from sale while keeping its information available in your dashboard.

- Complete the product information.
- Configure the required variants and inventory.
- Click Create Product.
The form is divided into several sections.
Enter the product name in the Name field. This is the display name customers will see for the product.
Use a clear and recognisable name that accurately describes the item.
Under Type, select the type of product you are selling. The available options shown are:
- Physical
- Digital
Physical: Physical products require fulfilment and shipping.
Digital: Digital products are delivered electronically.
Select the type that matches how the product will be fulfilled.
Use the Featured toggle to highlight a product on your storefront.
When enabled, Dash to Cart marks the product as featured.
This can be useful for:
- Bestsellers
- New launches
- Seasonal products
- Promotional items
- Products you want to give greater prominence
Hide a Product While Creating or Editing It
The Hidden toggle allows you to hide a product from customers without deleting it.
You may want to enable this while:
- Preparing a new listing
- Updating product information
- Waiting for stock
- Preparing a future launch
You can make the product visible later.
Add a Short Description
Enter a brief summary in the Short Description field. The interface describes this as a summary that highlights the key features or benefits of the product.
A strong short description should quickly explain what the product is and why it is relevant to the shopper.
Add a Full Product Description
The Full Description section provides a rich-text editor for more detailed product information.
The editor supports formatting tools for content such as:
- Headings
- Paragraphs
- Bullet lists
- Numbered lists
- Bold
- Italics
- Underlining
- Links
- Images
- Other rich-text formatting
This gives you more flexibility to present product features, specifications and benefits.
Use AI to Help Write Product Content
The rich-text editor includes an AI-assisted Continue writing function.
To use it:
- Click inside the Full Description editor.
- Type / to open the command menu.
- Select Continue writing.
- Allow the AI to generate or continue the content.
The same command menu also provides formatting options such as headings, bullet lists, numbered lists, blockquotes and code blocks.
AI can help speed up content creation, but you should review generated copy before publishing it.
Upload Product Images
Under Media, click Choose Files to upload images.
The interface supports:
- PNG
- JPEG
You can upload multiple images to showcase the product. Uploaded images can also be dragged to change their order.
The order is important because it determines how your product imagery is presented.
Enhance Product Images with AI
Dash to Cart includes an Enhance with AI feature for uploaded product images.
To use it:
- Upload a product image.
- Click the AI enhancement icon on the image.
- The Enhance with AI section opens.
- Enter your instruction or prompt.
- Click Generate.
The system then generates polished square image variants.
Generation may take some time, and the interface allows you to continue completing the rest of the product form while the images are being created.
Select AI-Generated Images
Once the AI-generated image options appear:
- Review the generated variants.
- Select the images you want to keep.
- Selected images appear under AI-enhanced images to add on save.
- Continue completing the product.
- Save or create the product.
You can also use Generate more if you want additional variations. This lets you improve product imagery directly during the product creation process.
Add Product Tags
The Tags field lets you add keywords that help customers find your product.
Tags can describe characteristics such as:
- Product category
- Intended audience
- Product function
- Use case
- Material
- Style
- Features
- Benefits
Enter tags and confirm them individually.
Generate SEO Tags with AI
The Tags field also supports AI-assisted generation. The interface indicates that you can type ... to generate tags with AI.
Once generated, you can automatically add suggested SEO tags to the product.
For example, a children's sunscreen product may generate tags relating to:
- Kids
- Children
- Sunscreen
- SPF
- Sun protection
- Sensitive skin
- Hypoallergenic
- Water resistance
- Everyday use
Review AI-generated tags to make sure they accurately describe the product.
Product Variants
The Variants section allows you to configure different versions of the same product.
Variants may be based on options such as:
- Size
- Colour
- Skin type
- Style
- Model
- Capacity
- Other product-specific attributes
Click Setup in the Variants section to configure them.
Set Up Variant Options
When you click Setup, the Variant Options window opens. You can create a variant group and add values beneath it.
For example:
Group: Skin Type
Values:
- Dry
- Oily
- Sensitive
Click Save Changes when finished. Dash to Cart then creates individual variants based on those options.
Add Additional Variant Groups
The Variant Options window includes an Option control for creating additional option groups. This can be used for products that require more than one type of selection.
For example, depending on the product, you may need combinations such as:
- Size
- Colour
- Style
Configure only the options that are relevant to the product.
Configure Each Variant
Each generated variant can have its own information. The screenshots show fields for:
- Price
- Sale price
- Stock
- SKU
- Description
- Photo
- Dimensions
- Weight
- Availability
This means each variant can be managed independently. For example, the Dry, Oily and Sensitive versions of a product can each have their own stock level, image and SKU.
Set Product Price
Enter the normal selling price in the Price field. Each variant can have its own price.
Make sure the value reflects what customers should normally pay for that specific product or variant.
Add a Sale Price
Use the Sale price field when a product or variant is being sold at a promotional price. This allows you to distinguish the normal price from the discounted selling price.
Manage Stock
The Stock field controls the available inventory for each variant. You can increase or decrease the quantity using the controls beside the stock value.
Keeping stock levels accurate helps prevent unavailable products from being sold.
Add an SKU
Each variant can have its own SKU. SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit. Using unique SKUs can help you organise:
- Inventory
- Order fulfilment
- Product variants
- Internal product tracking
Where possible, assign a unique SKU to each variant.
Add a Variant Description
The Description field allows you to provide variant-specific information. This can help distinguish variants when there are meaningful differences beyond the variant name itself.
Add a Variant Photo
Each variant can have its own image. Click Add photo beside the relevant variant. If a variant already has an image, options may include:
- Change photo
- Reset photo
Variant-specific images are particularly useful where the customer needs to visually distinguish between options.
Mark a Variant Unavailable
If a particular variant should not currently be offered, click Mark unavailable. This allows you to disable one variant without removing the entire product.
For example, if the Oily variant is temporarily unavailable but Dry and Sensitive remain in stock, you can disable only the affected variant.
Enter Product Dimensions
Physical products support dimensions. The screenshots show fields for:
- Length
- Width
- Height
- Unit
Enter accurate measurements where applicable. These details can support fulfilment and shipping-related workflows.
Enter Product Weight
After the product has been created, variant management also includes a Weight field with a corresponding unit selector.
Enter the appropriate weight for each physical variant where required.
Create the Product
After completing the required information:
- Review the product details.
- Review uploaded and AI-enhanced images.
- Check your tags.
- Confirm variant options.
- Check pricing.
- Confirm stock quantities.
- Review dimensions and other fulfilment information.
- Click Create Product.
A product-creation progress indicator may appear while Dash to Cart processes the product.
